Layla's Nursery

Layla's Nursery
The goal was to use pink, but to make it look sophisticated.
Make it a girls room, but not overboard.
Also something she can grow up with, and easy to change if needed.

The walls are a latte color, and is complimented by pink and brown. We gave her flower vinyl appliques that match the bedding, and can be easily removed in a couple years if needed.

I made this custom mirror, painting each circle the same pink and brown in the rest of the room.

I made more circles to hang the ribbon from. I painted the circles the same color as the wall, but with two coats and a clear coat. The edges are painted the pink. This gives a suttle effect, but still stands out.

Frames to have pictures of Layla and Family
accented by ribbon and crystals, to give a sophisticated and sparkle effect.

A border around the room keeps your eye moving around the room. Making the room appear larger.

I also made these curtains, and put a pink ribbon
to add interest and color.

Layla's name above her crib
hung with reversible ribbon to add color
and interest. Decals surround to also add
color and interest.
